Plan your perfect route

Local Campsites

If you are starting from our depots, you might want to find your feet by staying at a local campsite. Here’s a couple you might like to try.

Daventry Depot

Harbury Fields Caravan Park, Harbury, Warwickshire CV33 9JN

5 star rated family-run campsite on the edge of the village of Harbury near Leamington Spa

Barnstones Caravan & Camping Site, Great Bourton, Banbury OX17 1QU

4 star AA rated mature site with serviced pitches, children’s play area and good village pub

Wigrams Campsite, Southam CV47 8HX

A wonderfully secluded site down a 1/2 mile private lane at the junction of the Grand Union and Oxford Canals and a pleasant walk to the very good Kings Head pub at Napton. Dogs welcome.

Petworth Depot

If you don't feel like travelling on your first or last night you can stay in a beautiful field at our Petworth depot (no need to travel) at £15 per night . There are no facilities but a lovely country pub ( The Stag at Balls Cross) is a 6 minute walk. You are welcome to use the water supply and you can empty the toilet cassette at our depot.

Alternatively:

Grafham Caravan & Campsite, Grafham GU28 0QF

This tranquil 90-pitch site, set in the midst of the South Downs National Park and only 10 mins from our depot, offers good toilet and shower facilities and the site itself is ideal for children for to play hide and seek or make a den.

Fishers Farm Park, Wisborough Green RH14 0EG

As much a theme park as a campsite but very popular and plenty to keep a family busy. The campsite itself is well equipped and very peaceful and only 15 mins from our depot.

Choosing your route

You may know exactly where you plan to go on your campervanning holiday but if you are just at the start of working out your route and researching where to stay we would happy to steer you towards a few sites that might help you with your planning.

A really good website with lots of ideas of where to go and what to do is Freedom to Go and they publish comprehensive guides online of all parts of the UK - freedomtogo.co.uk/where-to-go/uk/. Definitely worth a look.

If you are going to Scotland then you could do worse than start with the very excellent Visit Scotland website which has useful advice as well as a number of very good routes to try, some specifically designed with the campervanner in mind.

The Visit Wales website, whilst not as comprehensive as it’s Scots counterpart is a good planning tool and does list some good campsites and no end of things to do while you are there.

If you want some advice on Free and Wild Camping in the UK, Campervan Life offers some very useful tips and guidance on the laws in the UK and lists a number of places where you can stop for free.

We thoroughly recommend the following websites which are full of good ideas of where to go and sites to stay at:

coolcamping, Pitchup, Campsites.co.uk, Camping in the Forest, National Trust Campsites, Eurocampings & Touringparkshop

mylpg.eu/stations/ - listing of all current LPG filling stations in the UK & Europe. May not be completely up-to-date!

And a couple of useful Apps:

Park4night - lots of off-grid free places that you can park up for the night. Very helpful if you are wild camping or on a very tight budget.

Flush - the quickest and simplest way to find a public convenience anywhere in the UK. Great if you need to empty your toilet cassette!

Of course, do feel free to call us and ask advice. The chances are that we will have been where you are planning to go.
